My Husband is Cheating With His Ex Who’s Already Married

I’m a 32 years old female from Karnataka and married a guy from Chennai through an arranged marriage. I had a past with a lost love who passed away, and later, I got into a relationship with a colleague which didn’t work out as I couldn’t forget my lost love. Eventually, my parents arranged a marriage with a stranger. I thought I could marry for my family’s sake. When our horoscopes matched and the elders approved the wedding, my husband and I began chatting. However, his WhatsApp DP and statuses were often sad.

When I asked about it, he said he couldn’t forget his past but was ready to move on and promised he would change himself and was okay with the wedding. We got engaged, but at one point, he was still posting about his ex on social media. I thought of calling off the wedding, but he used sweet words to console me, and I ended up going through with the marriage. Now we have a 5 years old child. I recently found out he is having an intimate affair and showering love on his second ex.

For all these 7 years, I believed he was thinking about his first ex, but it turns out his true love was actually his second ex. The first ex had left him because of that. He had begged the second ex to stay, but she fell in love with someone else, got married, and now has a 6 years old child. Yet, she’s been having an affair with my husband for the past 2 years. I discovered this from their chats. At one point, he was ready to divorce me and marry her because our relationship lacked intimacy.

Since the wedding, he has been stuck in his past, and I gave him space, thinking he would change someday. Now it has turned into a nightmare finding out about this illegal relationship masked as love. That second ex is ready to divorce her husband and come live with my husband. I can see now that my husband acted like I was worthless and turned his family against me. But when I confronted my in-laws, they gave me two options: to live with him or to move out.

Surprisingly, my in-laws are supportive and told me they’d back whichever decision I make, even if it means throwing him out. My husband now has second thoughts he doesn’t want to leave his family but still desperately wants her. His chats are full of content expressing his desire to be with her. She claims she’s being used, but he keeps giving her hope, promising her a baby as a sign of their love. He’s asking her to wait and encouraging her to get a divorce.

All I’m doing now is getting closer to him and his family, hoping he changes for the sake of our kid. I don’t want a divorce; I want to live for my child. He does love our kid, but he also desires a romantic relationship with his second ex. We can’t even confront him properly because he is bold enough to declare this relationship in front of his own parents. We feel helpless.
