I met her in April 2023 at Genpact Hyderabad, and that’s when our love story began. We started going on outings, clubbing, and evening walks. Everything seemed smooth, and within three months, we were committed to each other. I was a quality lead, and she was an associate. I supported her both professionally and personally, and we shared a beautiful bond. However, our relationship was also marked by possessiveness, doubts, and fights. She blocked my female friends on social media and kept a close watch on me at work.
In September 2023, we moved in together, and for a while, things were going great. I even skipped my hometown trip during Durga Puja just to spend time with her. But when she got a new opportunity in Gurgaon in February 2024, I wasn’t ready for a long-distance relationship. With my MBA studies and job, I became busier, and she felt neglected. Our fights increased, and she started doubting my commitment. I shared my social media passwords with her to reassure her, and she did the same.
After moving to Gurgaon, she fell deeply in love with me, but I struggled to dedicate time to our relationship due to my hectic schedule. By June 2024, we stopped talking, and in July, I joined Clearwater Analytics in Gurgaon. I tried to reach out through mutual friends, but she accused me of cheating. I never cheated; I was just focused on my career. Now, with a good job and salary, I tried to convince her to marry me, but she remains convinced that I cheated.
After moving back to Gurgaon, I found out she had been married before and was living separately, something she never told me. A part of me thought this was karma, but I still wish we could have one last conversation to clear the air. Now, I have everything I wanted, but I often wonder where things went wrong.
